I have had the honor of working with a wide range of companies. From The Midwest to Texas, New York to California, from agency to corporation, each position I have held has had unique lessons to teach and wonderful teachers.

From the beginning Aniden was a company that was founded on the ability to create photo realistic product renders for primarily consumer electronics companies. When I started with Aniden in 2009 I took on the task of joining the new user experience division with the goal of offering UX services to Aniden's existing clients, as well as expanding the division to serve new clients. Today we have grown by several employees and expanded our services to many new clients. We have built everything from interactive touch installations for exhibitions, to virtual reality experiences, apps, and websites for some of the Bay Area's largest companies. We also offer consulting services in developing UX scenarios for future focused products and work with design teams to develop UX strategy around new product categories.

game designer
June 2006 - August 2006 East Longmeadow, MA
Working for Hasbro was one of the most fun jobs I've ever had; I got to play board games every day! More importantly being a game designer at Hasbro taught me a lot about the foundations of game theory and how to get back to the basics of interaction design. I was responsible for developing board games, a few of which actually made it to retail stores; most notably "Yahtzee Free For All". The process of designing, prototyping, play testing and user testing each game in the lab was a wonderful experience and loads of fun.
associate web designer
June 2005 - August 2005 New York, NY
My first real design job was working for Aol.com in New York. Everyone always asks, so I will just dispel the idea right now...no I didn't work on dialup software in 2005. My duties involved daily production for Aol Music, Games, Videos, Entertainment, Weather, News and Sports. I also participated in the redesign of Aol Music and created branded experiences for Aol's advertisers.
Student
September 2004 - May 2009 Cincinnati, OH
As a student at the University of Cincinnati's School of Design Art Architecture and Planning, I learned a lot more than how to stay up all night and drink Red Bull. I learned how to think like a designer. I learned how to defend my design decisions, how to conduct research and how to give thoughtful and direct critique. I learned how to listen and how to meet deadlines at all costs. My education there was nothing short of amazing and at the same time it was as challenging as it was rewarding.
